Post-Licensing Self-Paced Courses

Southern Choice Real Estate Academy has partnered with RECampus to bring you all three (3) Post-Licensing Courses that you can do at your own time and at your own pace. Each course will fulfill the 30-hour Post-Licensing requirement. Each purchase (one course or three-course package) is available for 180 days. Your course and your Exam must be completed within those 180 days. You are allowed two (2) attempts at the Exam within those 180 daysExtensions are not allowed per NC RE Commission.

  • Once your coursework is complete, call the office (910-791-9813) to receive Proctoring Instructions for your Exam.  Or you may use the links below to schedule an exam:

    • Download Zoom Client for Meetings for your Proctoring Session.

    • Sign up for Proctored Exam - use Promo Code "CHOICEONE" (Retake code: "CHOICETWO")

    • Or call 800-636-9517 choose Option 1

    • PLEASE NOTE: You MUST use the RECampus / Kaplan Proctoring Service or your Exam will not receive credit.

    • Proctors may not be available for several weeks. Plan accordingly.

  • The expiration date for each purchase (individual course or the 3-course package) will be 180 days (6 months) from purchase date. Your course AND your Exam(s) MUST be completed within those 180 days. You are allowed two (2) attempts at the exam for each course. Extensions are NOT available.

  • The current textbook is needed. Click here to purchase: Digital version (preferred) / Paper textbook

    • The digital version is preferred because it is more up-to-date.

  • Southern Choice will report your credits to the NC RE Commission. Your certificate is available on your Dashboard in your RECampus Portal.

  • All three (3) Post courses MUST be done within 18 months of receiving your License.

Broker Relationship & Responsibilities #301

This course covers all of the ins and outs of the relationships licensees have with buyers and sellers and licensee responsibilities within those relationships. Your students will also learn about agency relationships and duties, brokers’ legal responsibilities to sellers and buyers, compensation when leaving or changing firms, and license status and education issues.

Course Objectives:

This broker postlicensing course will

  • provide students with the knowledge and skills prescribed in the North Carolina Real Estate Postlicensing Broker Relationships and Responsibilities Concepts Course Syllabus;

  • provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to act as a licensed real estate broker who protects client and public interests;

  • provide students with the 30 hours of education needed to fulfill their broker postlicensing broker relationships and responsibilities education requirements; and

  • provide students with instruction beyond that provided in prelicensing in topics that include agency relationships and duties, working with residential and commercial sellers and buyers, dual agency, property management, and other topics.

Contracts & Closing #302

This course discusses all of the details associated with real estate contracts, closing procedures and statements, the broker's post-closing duties, agency relationship termination, and license status and education issues.

 

Course Objectives:

This broker postlicensing course will

  • provide students with the knowledge and skills prescribed in the North Carolina Real Estate Postlicensing Contracts and Closing Course Syllabus;

  • provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to act as a licensed real estate broker who protects client and public interests;

  • provide students with the 30 hours of education needed to fulfill their broker postlicensing contracts and closing education requirements; and

  • provide students with instruction beyond that provided in prelicensing in topics that include real estate contracts, closing procedures and statements, the broker's post-closing duties, agency relationship termination, and license status and education issues.

NC Laws, Rules, and Legal Concepts #303

Students learn about North Carolina licensing requirements, brokerage compensation issues, the disciplinary process, specialized types of real estate, property management in NC, and miscellaneous NC laws and legal concepts.

 

 Course Objectives:

This broker postlicensing course will

  • provide students with the knowledge and skills prescribed in the North Carolina Real Estate Postlicensing NC Law, Rules, and Legal Concepts Course Syllabus;

  • provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to act as a licensed real estate broker who protects client and public interests;

  • provide students with the 30 hours of education needed to fulfill their broker postlicensing NC Law, Rules, and Legal Concepts education requirements; and

  • provide students with instruction beyond that provided in prelicensing in topics that include general North Carolina licensing requirements, brokerage compensation issues, the disciplinary process, specialized types of real estate, property management in North Carolina, and miscellaneous North Carolina laws and legal concepts.
