How will my education be impacted?
We have suspended all live in person classes. All education will be conducted through an online live stream format. You will continue to sign up for classes and pay on our website. Live classroom instruction is expected to continue starting July 2020.
What do I need to do to register?
Register as normal: Either through our website using a credit card, by calling our office and using a credit card (910.791. 9813), or by mailing a registration form and a check to our office (220 Avondale Ave., Suite 103, Wilmington, 28403). "Walk-ins" will not be allowed. Registration for each class will close at noon the day before the class. All classes MUST be paid for ahead of time.
How do I access my classes online?
You will find a class that meets your needs, sign up and pay at www.southernchoice.com. You will be sent a link to your class the day before. You then can access the live stream of your class via the Zoom, which can be downloaded to your desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile device at https://zoom.us/support/download . You do not need a Zoom account to use it for class. You do, however, need to use a device with a camera on it, per the Commission's recommendations.
What device is required to access the course online?
Any computer, laptop, tablet or mobile device that has a camera and will allow you to access the online live stream of your class via the Zoom app. The Commission has asked that each student use a device with a camera.
What if I need additional help accessing my classes online?

How do I know that I’ll be getting the same quality education as in a classroom?
There will be no change in the quality of your education and experience. The online course material is developed by approved instructors. The instructors will be providing the same course content and guidance, with the only difference being delivering the course to you virtually, rather than in a classroom setting.
If I don’t want to continue my classes online, can I reschedule to take classroom courses at a later date?
Yes, if you’d prefer to wait until the classroom courses resume, you can reschedule by going searching future classes at for availability in July, or you can call our office at 910-791-9813.
What if I’m unable to complete my courses within the required amount of time?
The North Carolina Real Estate Commission will give an automatic extensions from July 1st through September 30th if you are unable to complete your CE by the June 10th deadline or for Post classes by your personal deadline. For any CE that is missed you will make those classes up with electives (this includes the Update). Your regular CE for the 2020-21 License year will be due June 10, 2021 as normal.
